Six weeks on: Family appeal for info on missing Patrick

A heartbroken family have launched an appeal to find their father Patrick Douglas who has been missing since January 5.
The 63-year-old vanished from Dublin city centre on the Sunday and has not been seen since.
‘We are extremely worried about him and are relying solely on public feedback, through media coverage, to help us in our search to find him,’ his daughter Marie Douglas said.
He was last seen on Amien Street between 4 and 5pm.
The family said he left his home at 4pm and was wearing a tan coloured leather Jacket and black Nike runners.
‘He left the house as normal like any other day. It is now over six weeks since Patrick has been seen; he did not have his mobile phone, his passport, post office book or labour card with him, all of his belongings were left at home,’ a statement from the family said.
Mr Douglas is originally from Eastwall but was living in Woodville in Coolock, north Dublin.
‘One of his neighbours mentioned to Gardai that he and his wife had been chatting to Patrick on the bus on the way into the City Centre,’ they added.
Mr Douglas told his neighbours that he was going to the Pro-Cathedral for mass and said he would possibly call into some second-hand shops on the way home.
At 4.50pm, his nephew Stephen, who is a Dublin Bus Driver, noticed Mr Douglas standing at the 27 bus stop on Amien Street heading back towards home out of the city.
This is the last known sighting.
Another lady told Gardai she spoke to the man at a bus stop and said he was heading out to Howth, which a 31 bus from that bus stop would have taken him.
He is 5’10” in height, has blue/green eyes and has receding black and grey hair.
The family met at the Spire of Dublin yesterday to launch the #findpaddy campaign, which was assisted by over 30 family and friends.
‘Patrick is a very religious man who would regularly go to many different churches for Mass service around the City Centre and Local churches,’ statement said.
His daughter Marie thinks that he might have been going to St. Anthony's and St. John the Baptist's church in Clontarf.
There was also one possible sighting of Mr Douglas on the 14th of January by an elderly man who knows the missing man to casually chat to.
That sighting has not been confirmed by any family member and Gardai are treating Sunday, January 5 as the last confirmed sighting of him.
